Just needed time to adapt to new club, patience given poor form of team he was coming into and for Slot to stop inverting and letting him play his natural game. All coming together now. At Anfield for the League Cup game against Southampton, someone a few seats along from me called one of the players a “f*ggot”. I confronted him and he got aggressive. I got the stewards to kick him out narrowly avoided him waiting for me after the match. The rise in anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment is awful.

This is, of course, the correct answer. I guess the jury is still out on exactly how good he might be for us?

Other teams in the “title race”

I think this might be what I’ve been referencing from time to time, mistakenly saying “Spring”. In short, any conversation about #LFC’s season, both the good and the bad, that doesn’t include reference to Jota’s passing and its impact on all concerned isn’t being done in good faith.

Slot had made mistakes, there’s no question of it. Yet I’ve been so disappointed at the speed with which some #LFC supporters turned on a league winning manager the second things didn’t go right. I will keep banging the drum that Jota’s death affected everyone, including the manager, massively.

Anyone would think judging a player after just seven games in a new team in a country they’ve never played in before was a bit silly, hey? Andrew doing his usual excellent work in bringing facts along where the morons prefer to go with vibes.

I think several things can be true at the same time. Andy Robertson is the best left-back #LFC have had in the Premier League era IMO. I also thought he was looking his age & it was right to replace him, so it’s right for both him & the club for him to move on. He will be rightly celebrated forever.

One more thing I’ll say: Those who want the manager sacked are, in my opinion, in for a shock when a new fella arriving doesn’t suddenly fix an unbalanced squad full of players still grieving the loss of a friend & colleague. Because that’s what #LFC is right now & will be for a while longer.

He is an elite football managers. Only 3 active football managers have won the premier league in the last 10 years. He has had to manage the most difficult situation in top flight football since the premier leagues inception. You don’t become a bad manager overnight.

I was annoyed at full-time, but not with the manager. I thought today was the best we’ve played against a low block for an hour. 2.95 xG. Missed penalty. We didn’t draw because of how Slot set us up. The players remain mentally fragile. We all know why, but it’s like it’s become invalid. It hasn’t.
