Just curious, how come adaptations in a series' home country (like Pokemon and Mortal Kombat) would go on to influence the series, while pretty much nothing from international adaptations (ex. Street Fighter) would be backported beyond an ironic reference?

Get Back There 'Super Street Fighter II' SEGA Mega Drive

In all my years of gaming, the only platinum trophy I've ever had is Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 for the PS Vita. Even games I've enjoyed more are left incomplete.
