For my L.A. Blueskyers, if you haven't been to the Regal Sherman Oaks lately, they've upgraded most of the theaters and done a great job. Reclining seats, perfect sightlines, and the screens are noticeably brighter. IMAX coming in November. Check it out!

I see people complaining about "The Wizard of Oz" at the Sphere. Keep in mind that 'Oz' will be in the public domain in a very short 9 1/2 years, at which point anyone will be allowed to do anything they want with the film (and any other 1939 film).

Nobody is really talking about it, but Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine is doing amazing acting work right now. He's playing a sullen arsonist on "Smoke" and a gregarious friend on "Dexter", killing it in both and it took me 3 weeks to figure out their both the same person. Give that guy a movie.
