Today is Leonard Rosenman's 101st birthday. My favorite composer, I learn new things from him every day. Charles Strouse was a constant, stalwart friend, supporter, and inspiration. We laughed, cried, and sang together. He was an utterly brilliant, original composer and musician. Though he will live forever in his music, I will miss him terribly. Thank you, Charles. I love you.
