Up since 4a thinking abt how a former journalist-who may have even covered police misconduct in her career-has the capacity to call NYPD in riot gear on to Columbia campus last night. The videos are ugly & show police throwing students to the ground. They are students.

The helicopters are roaring above Harlem skies and Columbia University where students have taken over Butler library. And all I can say to myself as I pack my bags for an early departure tomorrow morning is oh my God my poor students. Oh my God, my poor students. Oh my God, my poor students.
