I think about our son being raised by the community of women who are his daycare and it makes me so happy for him. He hops across the room when I come to get him but I also know he gets spa time with his hair being brushed and has dance parties and does art every day.

The latest attacks on child care serve several evil purposes. They use racism to claim fraud to close places down & use nationalism to decimate the care workforce. Then sexism in families & workplaces means women will end up leaving the labor force to care for children.

Do these idiots not realize how much parents love and care for their daycare providers? We volunteer time for them, throw parties, donate extra money. Also many parents are attorneys. Go ahead and fuck with their beloved toddler classroom.

My parents are under contract for a (second) home around the corner from my house. The closest I’ve lived to my parents while raising children is 643 miles away. I was 800 miles away during covid with a 5 year old. I ugly cried in the car driving home from the science museum this morning.
