Flights to Hilo resumed after being cancelled due to falling tephra from episode 41. (7:05am HST) Fountaining from the north vent stopped at approximately 7:26 p.m. last night. Snowstorms on the mainland, snow on Mauna Kea, tephra raining from the sky… …dogs and cats living together!! #Hawaii

The volcano came roaring back yesterday for episode 41 and it began raining Tephra (fragments of rock, lava & pumice) on parts of east Hawaii, so much so that flights in and out of Hilo were cancelled.
