Cyclones #Humberto and #Imelda are developing in the Atlantic off the US coast. These two nearby low-pressure systems are interacting and will merge, in the rare Fujiwara effect. Last night, #HY-2C captured the two systems in a single swath, allowing our team at @knmi.nl to retrieved the wind.

MTG-I1, now called Meteosat-12, has become in June the prime geostationary satellite in 0°. EUMETSAT OSI SAF is now proud to distribute the Sea Surface Temperature derived from MTG data. @eumetsat.int @eumetsat-users.bsky.social
