After 7 years and 6 months, the day since Splatoon 2 released, I am switching from handheld to controller (joy-con grip). Playing DS requires a lot more camera movement, especially if I want to wrap around an opponent, and stuff like that is difficult to pull off on handheld. Harder with Tetras.

I wanted to announce that I recently left my team, @/kittens-spl.bsky.social‬, in good terms and want to pursue new experiences in the comp scene with my Dualie Squelchers. Without them, I probably wouldn't have continued comp. Previously a backliner, I played DS for them, which helped me play more.

[Splatoon 3] Version 10.0.1 will be released in ~1 hour (Jun 27 at 1 am UTC). This update fixes an issue that caused the game to lag more than version 9.3.0, and removes various out-of-bounds glitches on Urchin Underpass. (thanks Coxxs)

In today's update I added tournament organization bans. When an organization bans a player from their events they can't create teams, join an existing one or make a sub post. Org can also leave private notes about the bans. Org admins can view/adjust bans. #sendouink

I think ZDS is very fun. It will be very difficult to push the weapon though, since I'd be unable to play it in a lot of places, but otherwise it's a nice break from VDS.

[Splatoon 3] Here's a few examples of graphical downgrades that were added on the Switch 1 in 10.0.0. These background details were removed in Ranked modes to maximize the frame rate. This helps to limit differences in the frame rate between the Switch 1 and Switch 2.

This is Urchin Underpass—a stage from the original Splatoon game. Set under an Inkopolis highway, this place has undergone some renovations but is still recognizable as the hotbed of Turf War trends that it was. It'll be added to the rotation starting on June 12!

SplatNet 3 will soon display your Best Nine: your nine weapons with the highest Series Weapon Power. You'll also be able to see the Series Weapon Power for each of your weapons, as well as your Best Nine rankings based on the total power of your nine.

When players with S rank or higher join Anarchy Battle (Series), Series Weapon Power will be used to match players of similar levels. This power is measured per weapon too, which means you may want to specialize or branch out!

Maximum Freshness is being raised from five stars to ten. Rest assured, the EXP you've collected after reaching five stars will be counted. There will also be some new badges based on the number of weapons you have with four stars or more—so get ready to experiment!

The Splatlands Collection also features weapons from Emberz, a gear brand that got started on the Splatlands streets. These weapons are all about thinking outside the box, combining different materials and textures. More details about the Splatlands Collection are coming soon!

The Barazushi gear brand originated in the west Splatlands (which is why it's part of the Splatlands Collection). Barazushi specializes in weapons designed to be used in the most severe environments.
