I'm gonna repeat my comment. Talking about nonexistent "super intelligent" machines is like talking about the Cookie Monster rather than corporations creating real things causing harm. A non existent machine god bringing apocalypse or utopia is a framing that is harmful. Period.

BREAKING: The Department of Education has ended its directive that attempted to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in schools nationwide. This is a victory for academic freedom and education equity.

People can say it’s utopian or dreamy but it’s a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. School librarians are freaking out. The site is used a lot, esp for middle school. And nonfiction that isn't narrative or bio - such as country fact books - has been decimated in kidlit to the point where it doesn't really exist anymore outside little kid books, so no replacement for the site.

Children are the ones stopping child trafficking. Every adult involved in this was either complicit or failed. God damn.
