My peers in the furry community always prove that, just like society at large, they'd rather punish someone who makes then uncomfortable by speaking out against injustice rather than punish someone close to them actively perpetuating injustice. It doesn't even hurt anymore. I just feel empty.

I especially can't stand when they have the naked gall to lecture you about conflict resolution "communication is SO important, we can all learn to talk things out" and then like clockwork they get their duplicitous DMs leaked, and they're the biggest gossipers of all We ALL know someone like this

I agree there needs to be more love in the world but I've also been hurt and betrayed by communities that preach "we all just need to love each other" more than any other group and I just don't know how to reconcile that always note the difference in what someone says vs what they do, I guess
