Finally saw The Day The Earth Blew Up. Absolutely out of this world. Loved it! It was the last showing at my nearby theater so I’m really happy I got to see it the way it was meant to.

It’s funny that the “animation is cinema” crowd are blaming each other and not the bad marketing for Day The Earth Blew Up. How many of them even realize that the marketing and distribution isn’t even by Warner Bros? It’s from “Ketchup”. A small indie studio that doesn’t have the largest budget.

Another “draw your OC in this sexy pose” challenge? Sure.

Why are people still begging for 2D animation to return to theaters? I would argue that 2D films have returned to the big screen. They’re not as common as CG animated movies and they’re mostly from lesser known studios but there are plenty out there(including one from Warner Bros. soon!)

This whole Shrek situation has got me thinking back to the Princess Peach Showtime controversy. People were f’real arguing over the final cover art changing her facial expression.

Still very hesitant on a fifth film so I’ll have to wait on a trailer to gather my thoughts. But so far that Shrek 5 teaser is lookin’ good! 👍

For the past five days I dealt with the worst cold I’ve ever experienced. Felt like I was dying on my bed from all the coughing, sneezing, and shivering like crazy. Thankfully I’m feeling better now. Although I did get a random nosebleed last night. That was weird.

I’m so sick of Re-Animated projects now. It’s like every day there’s a new collaboration of an already existing popular animated film or tv episode. It would be cool if someone could start an animation collab of a live action show or an unproduced animatic or script.

When I registered here in 2023, I laughed and thought to myself “this’ll never take over Twitter but gl”. Repeatedly I would see users announce their move here just to go back a week later. Fast forward to 2025 and bsky has become a serious competitor to Twitter. You proved me wrong, @bsky.app 👏
