My boss just quit. Some drama llama crying (not from me*). He stayed a lot longer than I expected. I'd hoped he'd stay until the new library goes ahead, but he lasted as long as he could. *some staff thought he liked them a lot more than he actually did. He'd complain they drove him nuts.

I have booked all my staff in for their performance reviews. I HATE doing them. Dunno why, I always give them pretty good reviews and fudge the bad stuff. I spent too many years as 'employee' to not still be us vs them when it comes to upper management. Still dread it, though.

By the way, SOCK was better (Service, O something, C something, Kindness), but as soon as the boss suggested it, all four leadership staff - including me - started in on MASTER HAS PRESENTED DOBBY WITH A SOCK! DOBBY IS FREE!!!! And pretended to die on a beach. So, yeah, we went with PISS instead.

Just came from a meeting where we defined our core organisational values. We decided on: People Innovation Stronger Together Service PISS Other options were SHAT and SOCK.

As of next week, the award gives us a week of 'myleave' which we can take like sick leave but with no certificate or sickness required. On top of RDO, EA, TIL, Annual Leave, and long service leave, (plus Sick leave). I get more leave than I can realistically take. Not complaining.

The boss put a bag of lollies in a jar and said 'guess how many lollies are in the jar and win it' so I just googled how many come in a pack and put the correct number in. I gave them to the rest of the staff who never think to do that. It's not about the candy, it's about being insufferable.

It took me three hours to do a 45 minute weight lifting routine this morning. I am totally borked :(

Just read my post surgery instructions: no alcohol, no workouts, no coffee, no hot showers/baths for a MONTH! Yeah, I'm not doing none of all that. I'm already into my second workout of the day, and had a coffee. I AM UNSTOPPABLE! (Until I am stopped, and end up with regrets...)
