Katydid in the phlox..the sound of late Summer evenings is the singing of the katydids..they can be very loud, especially in a group where they synchronize their songs and bow their wings for more intense resonance..

Saved a preying mantis from one of the feral cats we care for. Does that technically make me a double hero? Maybe. I didn’t get a photo of it but here’s a photo of a bee on a Mexican sunflower in my backyard. ❤️
