Dram 5 - The finish: Lovely dram. Easy 4. Best of the night. Guessing 57% 10yo Caol Ila? #BlindDrams

Dram 5 - On the palate: The texture on this is superb, slightly sharp with some salinity. #BlindDrams

Dram 5 - On the nose: Bacon frazzles on the nose. Bonfire on the beach. This smells great. #BlindDrams

Dram 4 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 - I'd be over the moon if given a bottle of this, and would probably drink it fairly quickly. #BlindDrams

Dram 4 - The finish: Nice, happily spend some more time with this one. Scores a 4. Guessing 52% 10yo Port Charlotte? #BlindDrams

Dram 4 - On the palate: Decent texture and a lovely sour note on the palate. #BlindDrams

Dram 4 - On the nose: The nose is quite farmyard, it’s a bit funky. The peat is quite subdued. It goes quite floral the longer it’s in the glass. #BlindDrams

Dram 3 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 - Damn drinkable and if within my price range, I'd happily buy (or have bought) one of these and enjoy it. #BlindDrams

Dram 3 - The finish: I like this, maybe slightly more than the previous one. Scores another solid 3. Guessing 55% 9yo Kilchoman? #BlindDrams

Dram 3 - On the palate: Sharp. Tasty. Very spicy on the back palate, super drying. #BlindDrams

Dram 3 - On the nose: Positively reserved after the previous dram. Very clean, precise. Chisled. #BlindDrams

Dram 2 - Score: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 - Damn drinkable and if within my price range, I'd happily buy (or have bought) one of these and enjoy it. #BlindDrams

Dram 2 - The finish: For me, that’s a step up from the first one. Nice, a solid 3. Guessing 56% 10yo Caol Ila with a wine finish? #BlindDrams

Dram 2 - On the palate: Great texture on this, sweet, oily, with billowing smoke in the finish. Touch winey. #BlindDrams

Dram 2 - On the nose: Sweet, spicy, quite ashy. Industrial, almost petrochemical. #BlindDrams

Dram 1 - Score: ⭐⭐ 2/5 - At a decent price I'd buy a glass of this, but wouldn't invest in a whole bottle. #BlindDrams

Dram 1 - The finish: This is a decent start. Scores a respectable 2. Guessing 50% 6yo Ardnahoe? #BlindDrams

Dram 1 - On the palate: Grapefruit continues on the palate, wood spice, a touch green, quite drying #BlindDrams

Dram 1 - On the nose: Grapefruit citrus, salinity, soft smoke, smells quite young. #BlindDrams

#BlindDrams #BTC55 #ThreeDot - Back on the mainland and we’re on the same site as one of the largest grain distilleries in Scotland… Girvan. However, this is no Single Grain, it’s Ailsa Bay. Sweet (SPPM) Peat (PPM) with a magnificent granite stopper! NAS, 48.9%.
