I'm still doing comic work but I'm slowing down a fair bit to focus on myself for a bit, starting with getting back to learning Japanese. I was enjoying my lessons and my tutor, until Covid stripped that away from me. Time to pick it back up.

Silent Hill f is a departure from the traditional concept of the first 3 games, but still holds true to many of the driving ideas behind its narrative style, character development, and the psychological processes the protagonist goes through.

Finished Silent Hill f and watched the various endings. One of the best games I've played in a while, and a really mature examination of forced gender roles, self-identity and abuse, just to name a few of them. Silent Hill back in top form.

I had a good weekend after a pretty lousy week. Feeling better. My wife's always been there for me to talk to. She's a good listener. And extremely patient with me.

Like a lot of you, I'm dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety. 2025 has a way of heightening things like loneliness, even when you're around other people. I'm hyper aware of things I desperately need in my life, and just as aware of things I do have that aren't healthy. Social media is the latter.

I hope everyone is doing alright. Continuing my time away from the socials but dropping by occasionally just to say hi. Hope you're enjoying the spoopy season.

I don't have the option to live in a cozy cabin in the woods but I do have the option to curate how much time I spend on social media. I've pulled back considerably and I'm not really missing anything. Just as an update though, I'm working on some flatting work, a Nefarious page, and not much else.

I've been enjoying getting back into art, and I'm working on comic stuff currently. But as I do art, my enjoyment of being on social media inversely declines. I'll still be around and I'll still post art, but given the state of the world, I'm enjoying not updating about my life constantly.

Took a short break from drawing but now I have a new flatting gig! Woot woot, as the Millennials used to say. Witching art will resume later!

Fellow comic folks, we gotta be having the conversation over the sweeping censorship in this country right now. Between bad laws like this one (even if they may be meant in good spirit) and de facto censorship by credit card companies, like... it's one of greatest external problems to our business.

And I'm scanning the horizon for someone recognizing that I might have been queen. If I'm being honest with you, these silly little drawings are the most fun I've had in a while, and they're great practice too.

Coloring time! Yes, a vague post, but I do this a lot. You're just gonna have it get used to it.

The best art I do is the art I do purely for myself. It took me a while to find my voice, but, I think I'm on the right track. My heart seems to think so anyway.

I know I've had a good run in video game QA, but it's not where I'm meant to be these days. Not in my heart anyway. That ship sailed a long time ago.

Almost done with the lines for this drawing, then I'll color. In the meantime, doodling ideas for the next piece.

I think everyone who lives their lives without harming others and is just doing their best to get through their existence deserves kindness and respect. Anyone who harasses or seeks to harm another human being out of ignorance or hatred needs to take a hard look at themselves.

This started as a little sketch and then I just had to give it a background and well now it's a little out of control.

Got more B&W stuff coming up. Wrapping up comic work and then I'll get on it.

I believe this issue of Dune came out on the 27th! Half of the book was flatted by myself, and the other half by @rikdraws.com. (We're not credited, but I can guarantee it was us!) This issue was incredibly awesome to work on. The art is a blast and the story is too. Go check it out!

Something a little different! I used to do these sort of drawings all the time and I missed it.
