Just had an appointment, where they canceled my referral because they aren't contacted with my secondary insurance. They did this 3 weeks ago, but didn't tell me until I got there and would be charged full price or the $100+ cancel fee. Note: they are contracted with my primary, and both are BCBS.

A hallway smoke detector started doing 3 very loud beeps every -15 minutes around 8:30 PM. Too late for maintenance. 9ft ceilings mean no chance of changing it myself. So much for sleeping tonight. Cookie has apparently been trying to appease it by offering it her new toys. Worth a shot, I guess 😅

I had half an hour between meetings and so I ran my big butt to the pool and back again. I love water and it's such a bummer I only get about a week of pool time this year (but I'd make the decision again in a heartbeat, top surgery for the win).

We got new cat toys. The cats approve.

I have one week left before pools close on labor day (I didnt get to swim all summer while recovering from surgery). Of course it's supposed to be 70s all week (which is super cold for swimming to me - from the south), but I can still hang out in the hot tub 😁

Reminder that not being a bigot and/or anti-human rights is not a purity test. It should be the bare minimum for a candidate to get your consideration. Harm reduction is about personal and situational risk-related behaviors, not which marginalized population we are willing to sacrifice politically.

Is fedex always this awful? I paid extra for delivery on Monday between 5-8 PM of a package that needs signed for. Fedex didn't deliver it. I call this morning to reschedule (no option online), took me two calls to get a real person. They can't reschedule cause it's out for delivery today???
