La catedral de Burgos, como bien Unesco, tiene protección legal. Se la protege porque es un ejemplo excepcional de unidad de estilo (gótico). Romper esa unidad implica tirar por la borda las razones por las que es Patrimonio Mundial. No necesita "reclamos". Ya tiene de sobra.

Por supuesto que se pueden hacer obras modernas en edificios históricos. Pero hay que hacerlo bien, y este hilo muestra cómo se integran esas obras. Las puertas de López, deliberadamente, hacen lo contrario. No se integran en absoluto. Destacan. No debería ser necesario explicarlo más.

Todos los ejemplos citados en el artículo, en realidad, evidencian los errores de ejecución de las puertas de Antonio López para la catedral de Burgos. Son muestras de cómo intervenir BIEN en un monumento, sin robarle protagonismo. Compárense con esto.

Lo digo explícitamente, para que quede claro: tenemos casos ANTERIORES a la protección legal y de Unesco en los que los escultores fueron mucho más sutiles y respetuosos que el proyecto de Antonio López en Burgos. No debería ser necesario explicarlo más. Esos ejemplos invalidan el caso de Burgos.
