Doing the SendouQ Finale and LUTI Tonight streams today (wish me luck), and I’m reminded that I wanted to do a behind-the-scenes video at some point of streaming events from home. Like an over the shoulder camera view of me scrambling behind my computer and communicating with comms on breaks.

Thank god, I don’t think I could handle the Pats taking the lead in Super Bowls won.

Saw Iron Lung yesterday. After years of keeping up with the progress of the movie, it’s everything I’d hoped it would be and more. Suspenseful film with the cosmic horror vibe I love. Very excited that it’s finally out and I got to see it. I’d give it a 4/5 for me personally.

If I had a nickel for every time the Steelers brought in someone to the organization that beat them in their last Super Bowl appearance to be in a significant role for the team, I’d have 2 nickels. … You know the bit.

For a season I was more interested in because of the entertainment value of watching Rodgers, not even because I like him, but because I don’t, I can’t say it wasn’t entertaining at points. But can we please just try to make a solid team rather than expecting stale stardom to get us wins.

Okay, I wasn’t expecting this response, so I’ve started typing up some stuff, idk how long it will take but it’s gonna be LONG. I’ll probably put out a doc when it’s done and then start working on a video version to better show examples later.

I have the motivation to make a resource for spec cam for comp Splatoon 3 that goes more in-depth with how I approach it since a lot of people have praised my style. This would not replace boing’s or ely’s resources, but more be an expansion on those ideas with more I haven’t heard mentioned.

This wasn’t supposed to be a post that meant much, but weirdly I’ve been thinking about it a lot? It is getting hard to be a part of things only for the passion of it when there are people tearing down your work and your team. But it’s the never-give-up attitude that prevails…even when it’s hard.

I had a couple people ask so to avoid confusion: - For gaming and internet related things (Splatoon, socials etc) I will go by my handle “PipedreamDX” or similar - For talking with friends or my professional work, I will go by my actual name

It’s an accolade of sorts to be a part of things and projects that have active communities dedicated to hating them. I’m just here, man.

Looking into testing out Linux on an old laptop to try it out. Does anyone have experience using Linux for audio production or game dev stuff? The only major thing I’m seeing is plugin support is iffy.

I finished implementing the SSX Tricky menu game audio and some more into Wwise. Reaper is sending event calls timed to silent gameplay footage to Wwise and Wwise is playing back events in real-time. These events have random container variations as well with all the audio from the original game.

I kinda took a day off from this weird “Putting the SSX Tricky Audio into Wwise” phase I’m in rn, but I’ve been mentally placing all of the assets into Sound SFX objects and Random/Switch Containers and making Events out of those. Oh, don’t think I forgot about that dynamic soundtrack 😏
