3a learning about illustration in picture books. They drew stunning underwater scenes, using ideas from the book we are exploring. We will use these drawings to focus on prepositional noun phrases.

3a had fun using their different food skills and and a range of equipment. The salsa was a huge success. They enjoyed eating it with crunchy and soft tortillas. The smell was delicious.

3a worked in teams today to make Christingles. This was part of our learning in our world view and religion topic. We enjoyed learning about each part and what it symbolised. Great team work by all!

3a sorting needs cards during PSHE today. We looked at emotional care and physical care. We linked this learning to our rights respecting school exploration. We know that we are cared for by many different people. We also need to care for and look after each other! We are a team.

3a really enjoyed classifying rocks today. They used adjectives to describe them and grouped them. This linked with our maths work too!

Year 3 tasted a huge range of dishes. They completed a booklet to explain where the dish was from and gave it a rating. They loved all of the food!

Year 3 had the most wonderful time on their trip today. We visited a restaurant owned by parents of a child in our year group. They were so generous and welcoming. Lots of the other restaurants in the indoor market also contributed to the awesome feast of food from around around the world.

3a made an interesting discovery today. A bag full of very interesting objects! Who do they belong to? What is their meaning? We cannot wait to find out more.

3a were very creative in their coding lesson today! Some very interesting games created.

3a loved creating lonely hearts adverts for our work around Cinderella. We have we writing for different purposes. Today we used different sentence types. We then decoded our adverts, which look beautiful!

3a had a lovely, snuggly time on Friday during the marble treat. Snacks and movie. Perfect end to a week of hard work.

3a loved researching in science today. We were investigating animal diets. We found some animals we had never heard of!

3A working hard on Friday afternoon. We have started our Food Technology lessons. We are researching and exploring food around the world. The lesson made us very hungry!

3A really enjoyed making their very individual carnival masks! They are bright, vibrant and striking. Well done to all the children who worked so hard today. What a lovely end to our first half term together!

3A are in the process of making our carnival masks for Black History Month! They are stunning… we will be adorning them with 3D decorations tomorrow. We are certain that Claudia Jones would have loved them!

3A creating a beautiful story in RE. The Precious Pumpkin. Inspired by a biblical story The Widows Mite. So many thoughtful responses about how the characters might have been feeling. The children loved acting it out. They then wrote the story in their books. What a powerful lesson.

Year 3 had great fun tasting teas. We were exploring the aroma and taste if the different infusions. This was an engaging start to our new book we are studying in our writing lessons!
