We have the results, and they weren’t as scary as we thought they’d be 🥳 No scaries in her tummy, just a chronic “silent” UTI - she’s got antibiotics while they wait for lab results (could be e.coli 😵‍💫) and a new bald patch on her tummy 🥺 So I’ve bought her pyjamas…

For those from the Other Place who love Brown Dog: She’s battling some insidious health issues - her pancreatitis is no longer controlled and her back end is deteriorating. She goes for an abdominal ultrasound next week 😞 (No diagnosing, please. We know what we’re looking at)

Afternoon bike ride (taken before I wanted Death to come and take me)

Last month I bought a new bike - it’s electric but most importantly it’s a better frame size than the 14 year old bike it replaced. I got it so I could join Husband on his longer marathon training runs, but because it’s so much comfier than my old one I go out so much more! One of my better buys 😁

This weekend has been mostly friends and food and I’m not complaining.

If you’ve never had your friends make you a driving playlist on the fly, I highly recommend it. I was bopping away to Soda Pop and Your Idol with no idea what was coming next and it made the drive home SO MUCH FUN.

I’m off night shifts, it’s hotter than the devil’s buttcrack, and everything is conspiring to piss me off…so I’m ordering Wagamama for dinner 💁🏼‍♀️ May your whatever-evening-it-is be chirpier than mine!

The goal: 30km training run for Husband while I cycled with supplies. The result: he managed 26km and then changed the plan to finish with milkshakes. Not sad about it 🥤

My annual leave is over, back to work tomorrow! The main goal was to chill and catch up on sleep…which I managed right up until Sunday night 😅 I’m aiming for an early night 😴

An update on Brown Dog for those who remember her escapades from the Bad Place. She’s been poorly for about 2 weeks, all gastro related & ebbing in poorliness. Took her to the vet recently after another dip - she’s been diagnosed with pancreatitis 😞 Super low fat diet for a month, which she loves!

Update: They couldn’t do the procedure because the x-ray machine broke 😵‍💫 so she’s home and fed, because my girl is like me and doesn’t do hungry.

Brown Dog is having a procedure done at the vet 🥺 Hopefully it’ll help her mobility and give her some of the feeling back in her hind legs. Can’t wait to get the call to pick her up, I hate the not knowing part!

Saw a peacock and a hare on our walk today. I know this because. @pilotkaty.bsky.social shouted them both out to me…mid conversation.
