Imagine a tax system that reflects our priorities: thriving neighborhoods, great public schools, and opportunities for every family. That's within reach, but only if we ensure corporation and the wealthy few contributes their fair share. #TaxDay

What’s the forecast for NC? Fewer public dollars to fund our schools, hospitals, and other essential resources our state depends on. And #NCGA lawmakers aren’t making things better by continuing income tax cuts for big corporations and the wealthy few.

Unless #NCGA lawmakers change course, scheduled tax breaks for the rich and profitable corporations will leave our state with billions of dollars less in revenue to fund the things we need — meaning more spending cuts to critical programs like education, health care, and jobs!

News flash: Cutting taxes for the wealthy will not help North Carolinians put food on their tables or make groceries more affordable. It will simply reduce the state’s ability to fund food assistance, shifting the cost to counties and residents instead.

How is Western NC doing 18 months after Hurricane Helene? The community is still grappling with high unemployment and unmet housing needs, with inadequate funding support from state lawmakers — who continue to prioritize tax cuts for corporations over disaster recovery for Western NC residents.
