When I review the big films no one cares. When I review small off the beaten path films that no one has heard of everyone reads my review. This is why I skip many big films and just do the small films at festivals unless I want to see them.

When looking at coverage of Cannes- do filmmakers a favor and keep an eye on the smaller films. Put those titles in your to see list and search them out. I know the the big films are sexy and what every will be talking about- but they will get big PR, the smaller ones won't

I always worry about if I rave too much about some films. I mean was it festival excitement? Are the films that good? I worried about that with WE ARE ALIENS. Then I passed through the film and the end again the hair stood up on my arms at the ending.

The mets have me torn I love that they are winning at the same time I know its gonna crash because-mets. I don't mind them mediocre - I don't mind the bad- I just don't want them bouncing from extremes and just breaking hearts
