I’ve always adored John Lithgow and Nick Frost. Not anymore.

This has always been one of my favourite #OFMD scenes. Everyone in it bringing their A Game, the unbearable building tension emphasized by the use of Beethoven, Con’s laughter, and Taika looking more beautiful than anyone has the right to look.

It was the “Images” episode, in which Margaret befriends a little stray dog and is grief-stricken when he’s accidentally killed. Loretta Swit absolutely knocked that scene out of the park.

Why am I letting an episode of “MASH” make me cry?

I watched them the second they began airing (which, if memory serves, was around 11:00 a.m. my time) with @i-dont-miss.bsky.social. They and I were mesmerized by everything, and as they’ve said elsewhere, when MerStede appeared, we shrieked so loudly my husband thought we were being murdered. 🥹

Got myself a three-day Reddit ban after putting the following comment under a post about “Snatch”, the 2000 Guy Ritchie movie: “Shut up and sit down, you big bald fuck.” The mod said I was promoting harassment. IT’S LITERALLY A QUOTE FROM THE FUCKING MOVIE. 😤

Nothing helps the “I can’t finish writing this fic WHY DID I THINK I COULD WRITE THIS FIC I’M A HACK AND MY WRITING SUCKS” doldrums quite so much as rereading one of my old fics and remembering that I felt exactly the same way when I was writing it … anyone else?

I got morbidly curious and did a search on AO3 to see if there are any AI-generated #OFMD fics. Bad news: yes. Good news: there’s only 3, the most recent of which is from 2023. But boy howdy, the summary of this one is making me gnash my teeth with rage. (Plus, the fic itself SUUUUCKS.)
