1/ Belated Happy New Year, all! I always think there isn't enough imagery of the step-by-step process of bondage. BlueSky seems to lend itself quite well to documenting that so... here's C, in 2008, using rope, tape and lockable Humane Restraint straps to get me thoroughly immobilised in raingear.

Bondage riggers into rope often have very distinctive styles. Did anyone else play with G, who I'll refer to as TC (his consistent Recon handle was TiedCowboy)? Unlike C, TC favoured relatively narrow or thick cord woven into an intricate network with lots of cinching and diagonal cross-roping.

Solstice reflection: what's your biggest gear/kink/fetish related regret? Here's a rare pic of me wearing (beneath the straitjacket) the beautiful Aquala drysuit I owned in the early '00s. I regret that, following a house move, it was temporarily stored in direct sunlight and the rubber perished. 😭

Anyone ever dig through really old email accounts and find those ancient pics that we sent to one another, back before social media was a thing? I think this may be the oldest photo of me in bondage, at Jim's place, in a pair of bib & brace trousers he'd adapted so legs could be strapped together.

Having seen me escape his ropes once, C decided to make the second rubbered tie-up more challenging. After roping my wrists, forearms and upper body, he applied a tape/bondage gag and tied me to the bed so my body weight pinned my bound arms in place and effectively curtailed my ability to wriggle.

No matter how many times I might get strapped up in straitjackets, sleepsacks and all manner of amazing restraint devices, I will always have a soft spot for one of the earliest and simplest turn-ons: classic rope bondage done well. Oilskins! I've been doing a roughly chronological deep dive into my bondage/fetish experiences, mainly focused on early-to-mid '00 sessions with Jim S or at his place. I did play with other guys tho and, it seemed, vintage rubber/oilskin gear was a common, ongoing turn-on with several of them.

I 100% recommend @blktiger.bsky.social: he's professional, reliable, talented and skilled at drawing hot, sexy works of kink/fetish art, both human and anthro/furry. It's appeared here before but here's an enduring favourite, depicting various of the shades of Behr. Treat yourself to a commission!

Had to get FetLife moderators to take down, from another guy's profile, a pic of me tied up. I'm generally okay when someone is saying "here's an image I found online of the sort of thing I like" but when he's letting other people think it IS him or he made the bondage, that, for me, crosses a line.

"The rubber straitjacket feels good," I told C, "but on its own, it's quite easy to escape from - there are no front or side loops so it needs extra restraints added to make it properly secure." It's fair to say C rose to the challenge.

I think these pics came from the same '00s session as the John Bull Challenge inspired straitjacket. That jacket was so tight-fitting I couldn't fit it over full yellow oilskins but, the rest of the session, this Guy Cotten fisherman rainsuit felt fantastic to wear.

In a straitjacket in Jim's upper room, in Clapham. Sometimes, he'd strap me in himself; sometimes, it was about playing with other guys. Latterly, especially, I think Jim preferred to opt out and let those other guys to use his upstairs space for whatever they wanted to do with one another.

I was lucky, in the early-to-mid '00s, to have the opportunity to try on a very rare design of jacket, made by Jim S. I think he developed the arms-down idea from the original John Bull Challenge Straitjacket, intended to hold Houdini (Jim made a prototype of that one too). Impossible to sit down!

In addition to classic silver-grey, Rukka biker raingear comes in red. Back in the early '00s, I bought several suits from eBay (sellers have since cottoned on to the fact that it's a fetish and raised their prices accordingly). I have a few red Rukka pics, and will post them in this thread...

Following on from my last post about the fantastically tactile motorcycle raingear produced in the '80s by Rukka. I still own a load of suits from eBay, one- and two-piece, padded and unpadded. As the fabric warmed, the lovely odour emerged. Here I am, securely straitjacketed in the padded version.

I've always loved leathered-up motorcyclists but, in the '80s, I started noticing bike couriers in silver-grey rainsuits. It wasn't until meeting Jim S in the '90s that I realised these were made by Finnish company Rukka and had their own distinctive odour and texture. Fantastic to be bound up in!

C was in his 60s when I met him in 2007 and his favourite bondage was based on classic kidnap iconography: rope ties and tape/cloth gags. Nonetheless, he was amenable to straitjacketing, gagging, hooding and chaining me up in full rubber. I like to think we taught each other a lot!

POV: you're fully leathered, booted, jacketed, gagged and hooded but then have to sit in a chair and wait for your captor's next move. I met C in 2007 - via Recon, I think - and while he was predominantly into "classic" rope/tape/cloth gagging, he didn't mind strapping me into my straitjacket.

Sometimes, the outfits I enjoy wearing are not the most practical to get tied up in. I did love this Western duster coat in heavy cowhide and, while the shoulder cape and full length may have made torso/leg roping tricky, my fingers were neatly immobilised within a pair of matching leather mitts.

More vintage raincoat bondage. I first met C around 2007 and played regularly with him for several years. He had a particular penchant for long rubberised coats: this one is Black Diamond (coat over hooded jacket plus dungarees). The gloves hindered me but I did eventually escape this chair tie.

More blurry early '00s footage! This ancient motorcycle coat was a favourite, mid-(20th-)century and designed for heavy rain with a "skirt" that could be fastened with press studs around the legs. Just add similarly vintage helmet, gag, taped-over goggles and, later, one of Jim's custom bag hoods.

Generally, I post my own photos rather than stuff I've found online but this hyper-specific turn-on is an exception: I love pics of Houdini (including the various film/stage portrayals) performing the Chinese Water Torture where his assistants are shown wearing long waterproofed oilskin raincoats.

My post-Jim Stewart bondage content is from 2007 onwards. I found a new play partner - C - who photoed and videoed *everything*. Genuine question, tho: in these days of beautifully lit and captured bondage, is there really a demographic keen to see blurry, amateur just-for-us footage from the '00s?

I find that my fetishes are, as a rule, stable but they tend to fluctuate in prominence - some more primary, at any given time, than others - and, delightfully, I seem to spark new ones with new play partners. I don't think I was into motorcycle raingear, for example, until I met Jim Stewart...

Jim Stewart shared my love of "protective clothing made restraining" and wanted to photograph my modified bike jacket with zip-tied padded leather gauntlets and my Lazer Revolution helmet. The idea was that when zipped, strapped and discreetly padlocked in, the wearer then couldn't remove any of it.

As a "squirmer", I've always been good at slipping ropes and undoing knots... so imagine my frustration when I was first introduced to the concept of fist mitts (padded to match the motorcycle suit and hood) - my escape artist fingers "out of trouble" behind at least two thicknesses of leather!

This isn't my leather straitjacket. It's definitely one of Jim's, maybe some kind of early prototype? I don't remember this session but think I must've just wanted to spend some time strapped up in sundry rubber gear. The fireman boots were a size too small; they hurt my feet but I loved them.
