Having played my fair share of Kirby Air Riders by now, think it's top of A tier. Whilst I haven't tried it locally yet, I think it's far and away the best Switch 2 exclusive multiplayer and such a simple game to explain to people.

Kirby Air Riders Road Trip part 2 completed. Might try to finish all 150 challenges, only got 12 to go. I will say, the VS bosses are kinda jank - v hard to aim at the power ups you want. Zero Two balances it out with the drive up each time. True final boss also kinda mid compared to final boss.

Incredibly satisfying to have my second match and first ever rival destroyed in the nick of time (feels unfair to call them a rival as I WAS trying to kill them when I died the first time but shh)

God damn Kirby Air Riders got hands. After getting around 80/150 challenges in Air and Top Ride I was looking at the remaining ones including ones to unlock characters and vehicles and I'm like 10 seconds off the times they want. I gotta get good.

Okaaay, enjoying myself with Kirby Air Riders so far! I miss having so many unlockables. And some nice QoL with the challenges popping up dependent on track selection. I've only scratched the surface with air and top ride, I imagine city trial and the campaign thingy are gonna be preeetty good

I will say, compared to other Pokémon post-games I've played or seen recently (Let's Go, Arceus, Scarlet/Violet, Fire Red), I enjoyed the bits that Legends ZA had. Glad they only did a few "1v1 my high level Pokémon" quests rather than the tonnes that Lets Go and to an extent Arceus had.

Okay I've pivoted towards Demon Turf instead which has the schmovement. I know this because I played Neon Splash first. Initial impression is that I prefer Neon Splash's shorter, combatless, level-based approach. Also you have all the schmovement from the start.

Playing the first Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game on Steam. As a kid I recall being fascinated by the sequel and maybe that's good, but uh... does the first one get good?

My Switch 2 Tier List: S: Pokemon Pokopia, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment A: Mario Kart World, Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World B: Donkey Kong Bananza, Welcome Tour (As for S2 upgrades, I'd put Pokemon Legends ZA and FFVII:R at end of S tier, Sonic top of B tier)

So I grew up with a PS1 and PS2, but unconventionally pivoted to Wii because the motion controls looked cool. This was probably a good choice, not doing a Console Wars bit but Sony and especially Microsoft suck big time. (The best play is obviously indie games but shh)

Woops I forgot about Mario Tennis Fever which does seem fun but, man, it's minimum £50 and carried by multiplayer that I'm not so interested in.

FFXIV on Switch 2 with the possibility of it having the same free trial keeps sounding v tempting and then I see people preface it with "word of warning, there are 1000 tedious fetch quests but then the story is really good" and remember I don't pay attention to story so is game for me?? Maybe not.

Realised that Kirby Air Riders is the last physical Switch 2 exclusive I've yet to play (I quite enjoyed the demo and never got to try it online) so you'll never guess what I just bought. (That's excluding Switch 2 editions like Mario Wonder and Party that I'm not fussed about)

Okay Legends ZA cooked, I can see why it was generally regarded as a bit better than Arceus (which was my last favourite Pokémon game, and then a huge gap between that and Black and White having not played many in between).

How on earth did they reveal the "Furfrou League Elite Four" and not call it the "Elite Fur"

Played 40 hours of Legends ZA so far and only now realised you can pause and use items mid match. I thought there'd be a way to do it whilst battling, didn't spot anything, and did think it was weird but cracked on anyway lool
