Forty years ago tonight, my favorite movie hit the silver screen - and taught me that a fictional creation was as valid a basis for a system of values, ethics, and morals which one could choose to emulate as anything else the world could press upon me. I still believe it.

I’m not questioning my mother’s thriftiness in re-using a box for storage; but I AM questioning her specific choice of THIS box for storing THESE specific items. 😂😂🥲❤️

Let’s just call this an Eggs Benedict post; as in, if someone asked how my and Diana’s Eggs Benedict is, imma just show them THIS. 😄

You know those people who complain that they were just watching tv and the dog fell asleep on top of them and now they can’t move until it wakes up? WEAKLINGS, ALL OF THEM. It took three days to get the feeling back in my legs. 😂

I’ll share this helpful editing suggestion my phone gave me while I was working on a new essay. I am now passionately determined to make “respobdibility” part of the general lexicon. 🤣

An observation: any files saved with the word "Final" in the name will inevitably generate at least three further (and nearly identical) files before they cumulatively generate the (glorious) response, "Your files have been approved for production." The printing and binding phase starts now!

Our librarian friend staying with us messaged this morning that she couldn’t get to the highway - something about center street being closed off. We only just now found out why the block at the end of our street has been closed since last night. Going to be processing this for a bit.

That time - fifteen years ago (!) - when Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton and I judged a ballroom full of nerds and found them all exceedingly worthy.

After my last Drawing out the Dragons at the Superstars Writing Seminar, at the charity auction Saturday, my pal JT blew us all away - and rendered me literally speechless - by bidding SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS if he could get BOTH the right hand drawing AND the left hand one. Stunned. Just stunned.
