So while I think caution in synthetic biology is always warranted, and I have a great deal of professional respect for the signatories of the open letter, I feel the real-world risk from a "mirror microbe" is minimal. 1/5

3/5 I’m in awe of my synthetic biology colleagues who previously sought to eventually build mirror bacteria but are now urging for this goal to be abandoned. Not an easy thing to do!
