I keep chewing on the idea of doing a powerpoint/writeup of some sort on how to thrive at cons as a dealer or artist. Chatting around it seems like an area I can lend my experience to? Putting my tryhard foodie tendencies to work! Grocery lists/meal ideas to make ahead of the con etc

I mean, nobody has to defend anyone for anything here but I do find it a little fascinating that we're having the art vs. artist discussion through the lens of enriching a bigot exclusively and not at least discussing how the concept of "you don't own anything anymore" is related.

Y'know, since there's discourse rowling around again, if you're the type to own physical media, like some books or a box set of blu-ray discs you bought many years ago and own, you can enjoy those things to your heart's content without giving any more money to anyone. But maybe be quiet about it.

I just went through my con stuff and I'm right back on my "I'm so sick of tiny plastic garbage trinkets from cons" I just chucked some plastic snails, ducks, axolotls, and bones. Furry cons really by like > have an animal related charity > throw around plastic litter for no reason
