I don’t speak Japanese but decided that it was probably best to run back into Sano when I saw this sign on a country lane!

Today I visited Nikkō and saw the original carving of “Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” at the Tōshō‑gū Shrine. Given recent memes of a 4th monkey seeing nothing, hearing nothing, saying nothing whilst on their screen, it was a timely reminder of why we are going Smartphone Free in Year 7.

Mr Abbey and I have been given a warm welcome by our friends at Sano Nihon University High School. A few early morning laps of their track to overcome the jet lag.

Edward’s Boys are masters at immersing their audiences in the narrative, but not quite like this! There were brilliant individual performances but it was the precision of the relentlessly revolving cast, moving seamlessly from playing one part/piece of scenery to another that kept us captivated.

Simply superb! The quality and quantity of musicians is astonishing. Well done to all our performers and the the Music Department for curating it so brilliantly.

Thank you to all those who attended tonight’s Faux Pas AGM - it was good to see so many new faces. We heard how £6000 has been spent supporting the arts in School, and bade a fond farewell to Chair, Frankie Karki, and Secretary, Claire Manning, who leave with our sincere thanks.

Many congratulations! I am pleased that this year’s offers once again span the full range of subjects, endorsing our commitment to a broad education that enables students to follow their passion.
