Today I visited NikkĆ and saw the original carving of âHear no evil, see no evil, speak no evilâ at the TĆshĆâgĆ« Shrine. Given recent memes of a 4th monkey seeing nothing, hearing nothing, saying nothing whilst on their screen, it was a timely reminder of why we are going Smartphone Free in Year 7.

Mr Abbey and I have been given a warm welcome by our friends at Sano Nihon University High School. A few early morning laps of their track to overcome the jet lag.

Edwardâs Boys are masters at immersing their audiences in the narrative, but not quite like this! There were brilliant individual performances but it was the precision of the relentlessly revolving cast, moving seamlessly from playing one part/piece of scenery to another that kept us captivated.

Simply superb! The quality and quantity of musicians is astonishing. Well done to all our performers and the the Music Department for curating it so brilliantly.

Thank you to all those who attended tonightâs Faux Pas AGM - it was good to see so many new faces. We heard how ÂŁ6000 has been spent supporting the arts in School, and bade a fond farewell to Chair, Frankie Karki, and Secretary, Claire Manning, who leave with our sincere thanks.

It was wonderful to be able to take part, albeit digitally, in the ceremony at Sano Nichidai for the presentation of this yearâs Shakespeare Award. It was presented to Yua Goto who hopes to swim for Japan in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. Here is a recording:
