It's ME!

Talked to the lone service technician that was left outside, and he said that all of the new lines have been hung, but they now have to be spliced, and everyone is so backed up that I don't know it'll be done today. I'm so frustrated.

Day 5. Verizon service trucks with buckets have been on site for 7 hours. They are finally working on the wires and pole directly outside of our house now. I really hope that they can get us back up and running today.

A Verizon technician came out this morning and told us that he couldn't fix our internet. Today is our fourth day without cable or wifi. Four days of no streams, which is my sole income. I need it FIXED.

We had a nasty storm roll through last night that took out power lines on each side of our house. The crew has been here since early morning. Fingers crossed they can fix it today. It's getting hot for us and our pups.

I've not kept up with posts here. My mom has been sick. She was in ICU and I had to fly out to be with her Friday into this weekend. So............ I have to teach about the U.S. Constitution today to an introductory level class. How on earth am I supposed to pretend everything is just working normally? Answer: I'm not going to pretend. I'm telling it like it is.

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

We can ban an app that has provided income to THOUSANDS of Americans to supportthemselves and their families, but my children will still be in jeopardy of being shot and killed by a legal assault rifle while sitting in a school classroom. Make it make sense.

Thursday here in the states is "Thanksgiving". I was taught in school that it was a peaceful celebration between settlers and indigenous people, but that could not be farther from the truth. Use that day to spend with the people you love, but teach and learn the true history of these lands.

I have the most amazing friends. I love my current gaming chair, it's black and pink and looks so cool, but it absolutely kills my lower back. I put a new chair on Throne SUNDAY and enabled crowdfunding on it, just on a whim. Someone today bought it for me. Isn't it pretty? AAAAHHHHH! 😍😭💙
