The character of Jim McDonald was vile. He was a brute, a bully, a drunk, a wife beater, and loathsome through and through. Glad Corrie are killing him off. Without a doubt my least favourite character ever.

There's a seller on eBay who has been listing tons of Warner Archive DVD releases, and I'm constantly amazed at the amount they have. All range from Β£10 to Β£13 which is reasonable given the rarity of all of them.

Corrie has been awful tonight. Not surprised with one of the worst writers on the show, and some of the worst characters featured.

I've been on a 2006 music nostalgia fest and there were SO many fantastic songs released that year. It really doesn't feel like it was 20 years ago.

Saw Hamnet at the cinema earlier today, and it was brilliant. Jessie Buckley was phenomenal and deserves all the praise. Paul Mescal was equally excellent - they are both class acts.

I know it's just a trend, but why are people so nostalgic for 2016? It was a horrible year.

Randomly watching Countdown, and because Iβm so used to watching Richard and Carol eps on YouTube, the current version feels alien to me! Itβs soulless. Twice nightly Whiteley all the way!

Rewatched this 40 Years on Coronation Street documentary tonight - it was shown 25 years ago today (gulp). In retrospect, and when you see the show in its current state, the talking heads commentary is like watching a different programme.

Seeing as its now banned, and we have it on a VHS from a 2000 repeat, I watched Princess Diana's Panorama interview as it was shown 30 years ago tonight. Extraordinary to watch, especially given the appalling circumstances it came about. Nearly 23 million people watched it.

Sometimes I think Betty from Corrie was the serial killer they never had. The amount of times she flounced out of the Rovers in a huff, when she could've done someone in, or countless opportunities to poison someone's hotpot she didn't like.

The live versions of A Sky of Honey from Kate Bush's Before the Dawn are really just something else. The original album is so lush sounding, but the live versions give it an extra dimension. How lucky was I to see it in person. Tree crashing through the piano and all!
