We are starting off strong in #Mayuge district of #Uganda with a #WickedSchisto stakeholder engagement meeting. We believe collaborating 🫱🏼‍🫲🏾 w/ all stakeholders at the national, district and local levels can lead to sustainable change in #WASH interventions for #schistosomiasis. 🪱🧪

1,2,3… and we’re live! Excited to share that our much anticipated project #WickedSchisto has officially kicked off in Uganda! This is an interdisciplinary project, aimed at developing a framework to identify cost-effective interventions for #WASH-associated diseases.

At the ongoing European Congress on Tropical Medicine and International Health conference, Dr Osakunor, a Newton Intl Fellow at the #LambertonLab shared about our #capability study on #schistosomiasis. This is a game changer for how we measure health outcomes for #schisto interventions. #ECTMIH2025

💡Lazaaro @mlazaaro.bsky.social has been a member of the lab since 2017. A seasoned #socialscientist, he studied #schistosomiasis perceptions & co-developed a health education intervention in #Uganda. Now a #PhD student, his focus is on people's lived experiences w/ #WASH in schisto-endemic areas 🌟
