Met lovely friend for early dinner at a favourite keralan restaurant, then to theatre for a funny play which was only 70 minutes long so home by 9.30. All of the above makes me so happy.

I made some gooseberry streusel shortbread at the weekend because I needed to use up some frozen gooseberries to clear freezer space But it did remind me that unless one has access to home grown stuff, they’re quite hard to track down aren’t they? I may have tried to find frozen gooseberries

Made a Manhattan marmalade tonight And no, none of the cherries are centred in the jar 😜

I hadn’t realised some many people had come across to here. But for the mild amusement of friends from elsewhere, I am still marmalade. And my bourgeois tragedy with this year’s first batch was that I may have overdone the bergamot I never imagined I would write such a sentence 🤣
