All these kids discovering 28 Days Later in the build up to the sequel, and moaning that it was “shot at 480p”. I’m going to reply to every single one of them and inform them that it was shot at 576i and then deinterlaced. They are going to think I’m so cool.

Good. Bristol wouldn't be Bristol with simple things like "A Premier League football team". It goes against all we stand for as a city - like not having a major arena, or putting train stations as far away from anywhere useful as possible.

The UK demolished all those awesome TV/movie studios in the 00s, and now we've spent the last 5 years building countless new ones due to Hollywood/streaming demand. Are we going to have to bulldoze them all again? I can't keep up.

My daughter’s best friend moved to the end of our street last year. They’ve spent the last two weeks of the school holidays not seeing each other physically, but playing games together online every day. One of those “It’s weird, but probably what I would have done if I could back then” things 🤷‍♂️

I did actually take my kids to see Minecraft this week. I couldn't even bring myself to form an opinion on it. Would be like me reviewing a plane manual or jockey outfits. It just isn't a world I live in.

It shouldn't be a shock. It's crack for kids. Good old fashioned hardcore movie-drugs for children. Also now kept afloat by intrigue.

Posting the same videos on three different platforms these last few months has been interesting. Algorithms are a weird thing. One video could be your worst performing video on one platform and be your best on another.

Just got back from a week in a forest. Yes I realise Center Parcs is like Disneyland forest, but we had limited internet so it still counts. And I come back to BlueSky and see it’s still just four people keeping this place alive.

Finally caught Adolescence. I know I’m two weeks late, and I know I’m parroting what everyone else has said, but what an absolute masterclass in film making and acting 🤯

I woke up at 6am to the smell of our 20 year old daughter cooking dinner, because she’s nocturnal now. I couldn’t even be mad because this is exactly what I was doing to my parents when I was 20. It’s just the circle of life in motion.
