Some grunge added. You have to be careful with rust effects, because most of the hull is plywood. Decals and ropes to be added. Yes, there is rigging! 😀

This is the world’s first operational jet fighter, the Messerschmitt Me 262. In 1944 it outpaced every piston aircraft. Only a few still fly today, with modern engines hidden in replica casings instead of the unreliable wartime Jumo 004s.

Update on the Tamiya Quad Gun Tractor: window glass is in and dusted up. Wiped away a bit to make it look like the crew did it so see. Hopefully the body is on the chassis to stay. The gap between the two is annoying, but oh well. But the finish line is close. 🙂

Nothing will nail down a Nobel like rebranding to the “Department of War.” Also sorta overrides the key military mission of deterrence, which is a piece of our national & defense security strategy.

At first glance I thought the B29’s massive propellers were almost touching at the tips. The closer I got though, I realised they’re actually offset just enough to clear each other. One of those clever design details you only notice up close!

This is a replica of the Fat Man bomb, the type dropped on Nagasaki in August 1945. It might only be the size of a truck, but it carried the power of around 21,000 tons of TNT. What do you think, is this replica to scale?
