Working on a piece for my friends birthday that just so happens to also coincide with tomorrows theme for #OurFlagMeansFall2025. It’s perfect 😂 I’d asked over a month ago what they want art wise. Their birthday is in a few days. But I should have it done sometime tomorrow!

I love how I’m always in half an hour early to handle shit at work like opening registers and packing orders. Others come in late every day. I leave 5 minutes early because I have no choice but to walk home in the cold and snow with no jacket, and I can see the annoyance that I’m leaving now 🙃

Me this morning when I went to take Izzy out. It’s not sticking, though! So it’s not (officially) his first snow with me. When it actually sticks, I’ll record him.

My friend @aussiejake06.bsky.social is struggling. After his job downsized, he lost his job. Recently left his apartment and isn’t doing well. He always does what he can to help everyone else. Now, he could use some financial help to cover food, gas, and maybe a hotel for a night.

Totally didn’t con me into giving him his birthday presents early… 😂 A new Kong, doggy cookies, a rope toy (only for when supervised), and 2 tennis balls. Money is tight as fuck. But my animals always come first in my life. Especially when holidays or birthdays come around.

Someone sciencey ELI5 why my remote for my TV changes my space heater settings? The space heater has a remote but no batteries yet. I get radio waves or whatever. But here’s the thing. The ONLY button that changes it is the number 8. It’ll change it from heat mode to eco mode to fan mode.

I wish I could go back in time to my childhood for the rest of the season. Waking up at my dad’s house to The Christmas Angel playing, hot chocolate waiting for me, cookies for dessert, reading The Hobbit before bed, complete with voices for characters and singing the songs. Back to being happy.

Sad to have to post this - Further pictures from Christine Wada’s panel are being circulated, despite my clear request they not be. I do not have permission sharing these, and spreading them not only damages my reputation but also any chance of future events and guests sharing exclusive material.

Going to have to make him a Tigers hat to go with his shirt one day. Maybe a white fabric marker if I can find him a navy blue hat.

Something I love… My job keeps Narcan in a cupboard. We hopefully never need it. But we have it. A local organization went around, offering free Narcan and information on how to use it properly if needed. I pray no one there ever needs it. But you never know. And we have it if they do.

Recently started watching Carl the Collector and I actually really enjoy it. I appreciate how they approach autism, stims, and interests. It’s a really cute show. A newer episode also focuses on non-verbal autism and AAC devices. Representation matters ❤️

I slid his tanktop under for protection but the glue is dry to the touch. Just not fully cured yet. Took some scraps from my ruined Motor City Kitty shirt and went for a rough look partially on purpose, partially on accident, to make Ned his own Detroit shirt.

May have just found a way to turn the poison into positivity. I’ll need about 3 days to tell (because it involves glue). But fingers crossed this idea works.

My plan was to have my Ned doll (or Izzy) pose with my scarecrow for day 6 of #OurFlagMeansFall2025 but I forgot. Then it was too far out. So… Ned dressed as a scarecrow it is!
