AIs flunk language test that takes grammar out of the equation
Humans understand that ‘red ball’ makes sense but ‘ball red’ does not. Large language models? Not so much.

In the mid-20th century, it wasn't unusual for universities to turn down research grants. Grants would pay for equipment and supplies to do the research. But the university would be on the hook for providing physical facilities, utilities, support staff, etc. Taking a grant could be a net -ve. 1/4

The Rosette Nebula yesterday through my small telescope. It is 5200 light years away and 130 light years wide. It is a nursery of stars, with about 2500 young stars in the central region.

Australia was great as well. Thoroughly enjoyed Brisbane and Melbourne. I don't know why they put such a nice country so far away from everyone. Or maybe it is nice *because* it is far away from everyone. Had my Vegemite, got packs of Tim Tam, and already play cricket. So I am half Australian now.
