At EGPAF, our mission is simple. But it isn't easy.

Dr. Doris Macharia took over as the head of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation amid widespread disruptions to HIV funding. Her response has been to double down on the core mission of the organization.

The United States has driven meaningful progress in reducing pediatric HIV/AIDS. But we have more work to do. That’s why I introduced a resolution with @robinkelly.house.gov and @pocan.house.gov during HIV Awareness Month to reaffirm our commitment to ending pediatric HIV/AIDS.

The first step to connecting children living with HIV is testing. This year, EGPAF teams tested over 310,000 children who were considered at risk of HIV. And thanks to EGPAF’s pediatric testing, 1,813 children were identified as HIV-positive and directed to treatment.
