I still haven't sent thank you cards/notes to the people who got us baby/registry things, because I'm terrible, but just know that if you got us anything then I now think of you every time we use it and I'm very very grateful :') (and I will thank you properly at some point 😭 I have regrets)

lately I've been wanting to reread old comfort books instead of reading anything new, so right before I was going to get induced, I started the hunger games. then when I was sobbing every day, I realized maybe reading about lots of kids dying is a bad thing to do in the immediate postpartum period 💀

we just got our baby's social security card in the mail and her number is cool but I can't tell anyone how cool it is 💔

we hosted a game night with friends tonight and at one point one of them was messing with parts of the game they shouldn't be, because they needed to fidget. so I brought out like seven fidget toys and then every one of our friends was using them the rest of the night and fighting over the best ones
