I've been getting crazy into reading yuri manga again lately and this is like my cocomelon. Like I just get cranky and sad if I'm not reading any of this at any given moment

I appreciate the opportunities but I actually really don't like choreographing fight scenes that much if I have to do it for a client. To my clients, fight scenes are exciting, so they think of action movies when they want me to do fight scenes. But for me, personally, fighting is violence

I don't want to sound mean but one day I hope we all move on from gacha ship GL or BL. It's insane how much of these is hijacking discussions about the genre. "I don't like yuri because blablabla" from a person who never read anything other than AO3 fanfics of gacha game characters... no

There's been a ton of talk about how animators are often lousy writers etc (I would count myself as a lousy writer) and how many writers don't read and stuff, but mangaka are kinda like animators, in terms of molding together story and art at the same time. But dude, some of them are literary gods

There's two female-led action films named Ballerina and the 2023 one mogs the John Wick one so hard when it comes to its writing. Sure the action scenes were better, but when it comes to being female-led, which it calls attention to with its title Ballerina, it's oddly condescending for no reason

I heard about how Taylor Sheridan's writing has become worse as he got richer, and this extends to how he wrote women making them ridiculous caricatures, and how it's gotten worse since his best works from Sicario to Wind River... but actually his writing of women back then were pretty shitty too

God I remember when there was that whole fad of drawing Asian women of different nationalities dating each other two years ago. That was the closest we ever got to world peace

A huge "discourse" about yuri I see on the other site quite often is people talking about how they wanna read yuri (they really don't) but a lot of yuri is "high school setting" so they're not interested because somehow that's icky for them (so they don't bother looking for the adult-oriented stuff)

The currency of the country I'm living in right now is weakening rapidly and I can actually feel it impacting the production of No Love right now 😱 this is definitely more expensive to produce than the last one...

Writing Hannah and Melissa is so much fun, I can't get enough of it. It's really sad that No Love is supposed to be a three parter. I don't think I've had enough of these two yet...

Indonesia is so cooked, and it's actually insane to think about how there's nothing that can be done to save it or to save us all. Absolutely nothing. People who try get jailed or get acid thrown at their faces. Ahhh... hopefully the next life is kinder

Hannah in the next No Love is an annoyingly passive-aggresive flirt and it genuinely makes me so upset watching her fully animated in this way. She's so irresponsible how could she do this

The next No Love has a pretty funny amount of yuri manga cliches. It would be unfamiliar if you don't read them, but this is kind of structured like a yuri manga, it's funny to see it in retrospect

I wish to be someone who loves women as much as Sal Jiang does. Such a diverse body of work... romcom, toxic, or just incredibly horny overall. The greatest of all time

Making your own yuri is the best fucking feeling in the world. It's like being able to produce your own drug and getting high off of your own supply, just like that. Your own characters, your own levels of yearning, your own interests, your own themes and story you can just put them all in there

This year I watched Air Doll, a movie by Hirokazu Kore-eda, and it's a movie about a blow-up doll that came to life to live as a human. It talks about a lot of things like social isolation, and how women end up being objectified as a result of this isolation (if the premise isn't obvious enough)

By the way, I am making extremely good progress on the next No Love episode. No Love 2 [title TBD] currently has 9 minutes of animation after only two months of animating. Compare this to No Love 1/2 which got 4 minutes of animation after those same two months. We're ahead of schedule!

What worries me about a creative at this age of 25 is that this is the time of my life where people are starting to die. It's a bit grim, and not many have died admittedly, but there are people I knew, who I would've loved to show my work to, who pass on before I was able to finish it

Some production trivia: for the kissing scene in No Love 1/2, Hannah's VA Tasch initially made the kissing noises by kissing her palm and recording it, but it wasn't making the effect she wanted, so she got her partner to sit in the booth with her and kissed her neck there

Releasing a music game and the music being terrible in it has to be so embarrassing. I could take one look at something and tell it's not made with any love at all towards either music or rhythm games, lol

Watched Tár. Putting the credits roll at the beginning of the movie and then showing "Monster Hunter: World, Capcom Co.," at that same credits roll is probably the funniest fucking thing this movie could've done. I spent the whole movie waiting for Monster Hunter

Because the characters in the Flowers VN series references him in literature, I'm reading Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima. I cannot believe these girls were reading this, what the fuck bro. Maybe it's some of his other books that has less masturbation

I don't know if this says anything at all about me but I really can't watch or read anything fictional that doesn't have a sufficient amount of suffering in it. Like if it's too wholesome I just kinda lose interest as it goes on, lol. I think it's just because it gets kind of predictable to me

I went to an art museum and it's so crazy how people in the 1800s did this stuff. No reference photos no cameras no Pinterest. Just straight up eyeballs, went outside and looked at a tree for two years. Then the house that stored the painting collapsed, and it got redrawn for another two years

It wasn't like this two years ago, but every time I go to the GL section in Japanese bookstores, there's usually always a lady or two there aggressively peering into the shelves. The shelves have been getting bigger and bigger, too
