Life takes twists and turns. This week, even more than any other, I am thinking about what really matters.

When I was learning history at school I always used to wonder at how a country could unravel and lose its governance, its decency and its sense of right and wrong. I think what we are witnessing now is extraordinary. And the quietness about it from many is also extraordinary.
