I love how weird and unsettling Lothlórien is even in relatively normal conversations. Celeborn here’s already musing aloud about how he’d use hobbits during a siege, and Galadriel has forgotten how normal conversations work.

so, okay, so: the map of Middle-earth Amazon used for their promo included this forest on the north-east of the Sea of Rhûn, which turns up in Tolkien's first map as 'Neldoreth', which is the name of one of the forests of Doriath, where Celeborn was from. AND THEREFORE -
