🥳 Today South Tyrol celebrates its Autonomy Day! On 5 September 1946, the Italian Prime Minister Alcide Degasperi and the Austrian Foreign Minister Karl Gruber signed the Gruber-Degasperi Agreement. The agreement constitutes the international legal basis for South Tyrol's autonomy.

In 2024, the South Tyrolean Office for Provincial Languages and Civil Rights received 74 complaints regarding the violation of language rights with regard to German. 2 complaints concerned Italian. The office serves as a contact point for cases of violation of language rights by public institutions.
