This book stayed charming as hell throughout. The grumpy one makes a big point about how he never nicknames people when he slips and calls Baxter “B”, but then by halfway through he’s called him at least 5 little pet names. The smittenest kitten.

Big Nick Energy by Morgan Elizabeth asks, what if you meet a great younger guy, but it turns out that you’re just friends? *But then* you meet his dad…and immediately hate him for bringing up the fucking Elf to your kids. *But then again* he makes up for it by coming over every night to handle it.

I’m not even a quarter of the way into Let Your Hearts Be Light by Fae Quin, and I’m obsessed with these two. Baxter and Paxton’s respective teens have singed them ups to be Christmas buddies. Paxton is a grump who hates Baxter’s cheeriness, but quickly learns it’s a front and decides to help.

For Just Like a Hallmark Movie, I went with The Mistletoe Bet by Maren Moore. She’s a Big City Girl who’s down on Christmas. He’s the hometown doctor ready to change her mind and win her heart in the process. Everything you could want from a Christmas tale, with some bonus after hours fun.

I loved Beastly and Bookish last year, so I went back to Winter Bliss for Holly’s Unjolly Christmas by Lark Green. Snowed in with the (extremely hot) demon who is dead set on making your stay as unpleasant as possible. 199 pages, on KU

I’m currently reading Christmas with Kris Kringle by Kasha Thompson for this prompt. Black Love, on KU, 224 pages. Kris (real name) is taking a “micro-retirement” to play Santa at the mall where Belen is the events coordinator. Very fun so far!
