I found my first long-eared owl on my own today! I went for a walk with my sister and somehow spotted this beauty through a million branches. I couldn’t get a clear shot, but i didn’t even care. ✨First post✨This is one of my hometown barred owls - Mama June - perched beautifully in the setting sun. This is their nesting tree where they raise their owlets, then follow them from tree to tree around the park until the owlets can survive on their own. They return to this tree each winter. ❤️
