Glad I decided to branch out and doodle something new, really enjoying drawing my new orca. Have another POV comic coming soon (lineart and flats done, need to do shading/details next. Hopefully done tomorrow)

cw: vore Typhos is a friendly orca, offering free submarine rides for any passersby. You can totally trust him, he’s done this a million times. No windows on this submarine, sadly, and it may be a touch slimier than most.

What’s this? An actual ref? Orcas are still new for me so i needed to make a guide for Typhos. Might color this eventually too, we’ll see. In addition to black and white I may add subtle streaks of color, any suggestions on what color his highlights should be?

May delete these later, but some more practice drawings of my new orca,Typhos. Trying to figure out the overall shapes first, then I might go in and tweak patterns/details. Learning to draw a new creature is always a process.

Executive naming decision: I am naming my giant harpy girl “Aria,” and I’m naming my in-progress orca lad “Typhos.” Yes im making this a post more for my own sake so I’ll stop waffling over character names.

Forcing myself to doodle something different, and bringing back my harpy girl (next goal: actually name her). An attempt at a POV of being pinned under a giant harpy’s talons. What happens next? Who can say…

I feel like im basically just doodling the same things over and over. My motivation to draw comes in tiny spurts, and I usually try to get something on paper, but it usually relies on the same stuff. Need some ideas. Things to doodle, characters to doodle, scenarios to doodle, ect

Part of me wonders about issuing a doodle challenge. Giving out prompts for people to do quick sticky note drawings. Could be fun but idk if a lot of people would be on board with that. (The idea isn’t to create masterpieces, it’s to create something fun and silly). Thoughts?

Legit one of the best things art wise I’ve done is decide to doodle on sticky notes. They’re small and disposable, meaning the stakes are super low. That takes off so much pressure compared to a full blank canvass. I highly recommend it to all wanting practice. Grab some notes and start doodlin

More yinglet Root, discovering that in fact their stomach is much smaller in this form, and trying to eat the same amount of fruit as before will likely result in a bit of a stomach ache, whoops
