This has been a week of great loss for Democrats and our hearts go out to the families of these incredible public servants: President Jimmy Carter; Rep. Mary Murphy (Duluth area); Former Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic; and House 28B Rep. Ken Tschumper.

Not a mandate. Not a landslide. In fact, of all eligible voters, Trump barely got 1/3 of all votes. It doesn't change the outcome but it gives perspective in rural areas where we feel like we're a blue dot in a sea of red. (Numbers may change slightly as results are not completely available yet.)
