Spent the past week writing up a Starfinder 2e campaign only to realize it's just Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Mizmyre Starfinder AU where he's still a misanthropic asshole but he's still useful because he can fit into bulkheads made for smaller-sized sophonts. (The shadows make no sense because I gave up just chalk it up to his witchwarper paradox)

I take issue with Draw Steel's ancestries being all funny-colored humans so here are my Objectively Correct™ replacements for them. (The medieval tapestry artwork in the books is extremely good and I vibe with it)

Group of mine is checking out Draw Steel. It looks really fun and I look forward to trying it out but woof, that initial price tag is steep.

I go through this every time I have a campaign idea, and I hate it. Love all the games here (yes even 5e), I just overthink way too much...

I keep circling back to the idea of a mission-based megadungeon. PCs are given different objectives to accomplish in different parts of the same dungeon map, so they're exploring the megadungeon in bite-sized chunks and interacting with the various factions within. Might be cool for an open table.

Some of my favorite dungeon encounters are just fellas getting by in life. A kobold foreman overseeing the resetting of traps, a goblin drawing graffiti on a wall, a displacer beast going absolutely mental over a piece of string. Encounters that don't instantly go to fighting.

Been playing Abomination Vaults with the bf like it was a rudimentary CRPG, with him playing the main character and myself as a companion character and GM. I gotta say it's the most fun I've had running Pathfinder 2e. Fights go so fast and we can just bullshit around and laugh. Highly recommended.
