Research for a dream project begins. This collects the first year of Superman stories, from Action Comics #1-13 and also Superman #1, published between June, 1938-July, 1939. Excited to dig in and see how it all began.

The only part of writing comics I don’t thoroughly enjoy is typing up the stupid solicitation text (that supposedly sells the book, but let’s be real, probably no one reads?). But every other aspect? I friggin’ love it with my whole stupid smelly heart. (Also-Slaughter Otter 2 FOC today)

Today’s back issue reads. I’ve always been hesitant to pull out Rising Stars by @straczynski.bsky.social as it had been an absolute favorite when it was coming out. There’s always that fear of tarnishing a memory with a revisit but from these 2 issues this story holds up and any hesitancy is gone!
